Question 12 bolt problem

ok i took a 4 channel rearend out of my 2000 z28 m6. i am putting a 12 bolt strange in it. ok i am trying to put the backing plates on the 12 bolt from my 10 bolt but they dont fit around the axle housing. the bolts holes do not match up either. what do i do??? i would like to have an e-break. i dont care about the abs or the TC. i was hoping it was a easy direct bolt in but u know as well as i do that never happens!!!

Strange does not use a flush mount housing ends so you might have to pocket your backing plates. As for the bolt pattern they should be the same as your stock backing plates. It is a 12 bolt drum pattern that GM some how came back to reuse.
