Default Oil leak above filter

i changed my oil today and noticed oil leaking from on top of my oil filter by what looks to be two 10mm bolts. is this a sensor? i talked to a guy at a chevy dealer and he looked at me like i was stupid and all he could go off of were pictures that didnt show anything.

i circled where its leaking from.

Its not a sensor, its basically just a cap for a port off the side of where the oil filter housing is. some who have turbo's drill & tap that cap & then have an oil feed line for a turbo

That's the oil bypass adapter. Remove those two 10mm bolts and replace the gasket if it's damaged & make sure the bolts are tight. Like said above, lots of people (myself included) drill & tap the top of that adapter for an oil pressure/temp sending unit.
