Aluminum intake manifold temp.
Aluminum intakes obviously become heat sinks, and preheat induction air.
Any idea what the HP loss is vs a composit intake? I don't race regularly,so a tenth on the strip is not of concern to me.

Heat soak, shmeat soak.
The volume of air passing through it barely has time to pick up any heat that would really make a difference. Small-blocks (including race cars) since 1955 have been doing just fine with metal manifolds....
How much do you think forced induction heats the air even with intercooling? A lot more than a metal intake would....
On a 500hp engine you might lose 3 hp. boo hoo.
When I installed a polished Weiand (for looks) I gained low end torque and had no loss up top compared to the LS6 I took off.
