Default Cam & tune

I'm looking for the best cam for the stock motor with hooker long tubes on my 99 6m Z. I'm wandering if I should get a custom grind since I want the most power for the drag strip, yet still streetable. I'm going to have 4.10 gears and then dyno tuned after the cam. I've seen cars go low 7's in the 1/8 with these few mods so I know there is a cam and tune capable of achieving this. Wandering if you guys might have some of the formulas. What else would you guys do when installing the cam?

full boltons, suspension, spray??? not sure what you have on your car already, but there are a lot of sponsors on here with cams that will get you to your goals. talk to them about what you want to get out of your car and they will point you in the right direction. hopefully that helps a little.

My buddy went 7.2 in the 1/8th with his Tr224/224 and bolt-ons.

what are the specs on the lg mtrsprts cam? would the cam in that vette work as well in my camaro since I have a stock intake and heads? what bolt ons did the 7.2 car have? I'm thinking a cam like blk97sws6's tr230/224 111lsa would work well but he seems to have a lot more mods. I'm looking for the best bell curve power for the strip so I can run in the low 7's. I'm not planning on modding the engine any more for quite a while so I'm focusing on the cam. I appreciate all replys
