Roadster Show
Just thought I'd post up. There are some VERY sweet cars there this year. A 67 Camaro with a blown 502. A twin turbo 65? Mustang that easily has $500k invested in it. Some cars you've seen on Pinks. A bunch of real race cars. And mine of course. So you won't be disappointed if you go.
I got there about 1:30 & was done with the car by 5:00. Needless to say it was trashed from the drive down thru the SLOP! But it looks ok I guess. The floor tiles Steve let me use & Dougs PCM cover help a lot. Thanks buddies!
Oh, and my car is up by the stage on the front row where Todd's was 2 years ago.

Mark,
You've got to remember there is a large contingent of "show goers" that like to see R E A L cars. Not just the latest 500k build that hasn't seen a road and won't until another year of shows is over. Those cars are cool... of course they are... but not realistic. Yours is a very nice example from the working breed group

I know the car. Don't worry about it. He has AT LEAST twice as much $$$ invested in that as you have in yours.
You'll do fine.

Hey Mark,
Congrats on having your car there.
I am hoping to be there Sunday at the end of the show, if I get off work in time. I love going at that time, seeing the cars and the awards show is really cool. It is always amazing seeing how many cars you hear that are from Marysville.
Your car is awesome! It will be the nicest 4 gen that is heavily modified. People will appreciate and like your car. How many cars are there like yours that you can actually see? Most muscle cars are older and modified, newer cars are generally more stock with a few things done to them. It is not often you see a car modified like yours and looks great. You will do well with the judging.
Good luck and have fun!
Did you use your brothers plates to register your car (miles traveled)?

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I think I just won the prize I was looking for!!!
So I showed up around 10 this morning to finish cleaning the car. I remembered I had forgotten to wax the plenum & valve covers....my car had already been judged. Oh well.
But the I got to talk to the guys at the Meguiars booth. Thye showed me how well the new NXT stuff works. I wish I had it on my car....but I bought some for next time.
And then I got to talk to Blake Foster (owner of Killer Customs) about road race suspension. They have their Pro Touring 69 Camaro there in addition to their Pinks winner. Interesting guy, very down to Earth, eh. ;-)
I also talked to the owner of the orange turboed 55 Chevy. Seems he had to go to Turbo Tech to get it straightened out. He had some VERY nice words for George! Go figure.

I went last night car looks good Mark.
Some very cool cars: 61 LS7 Vette, Several 1st Gen. Camaros that were off the hook, but the car that did it for me was the 36 Ford Roadster "Impression" that Foose did.

I created 2 photo albums on my website (link in my sig) for those that didn't get to go. One has 10 pics of my car, and the other has 25 pics of various other cars that Linda & I liked. The last pic is for Ellis....a s/c'd Mustang with REAL nitrous bottles - go BIG or go home bubba! It may take a while for the pictures to be available for viewing......
