Default trik flow heads and huge cam

I'm thinking about running some trik flow heads on my 408 and a huge cam. I was wondering if anyone has this setup, or if they think will work good together. I would like to know what you guys think before I make my choice.

The TFS 225 heads will accept a big cam and make power easier then any head I know of. Heads with bigger valves and bigger ports will not accept a big cam as easy, ala L92. Hope this helps, Vengeance R and D also has a good handle on what cams these heads like.

We just completed a 2006 C6 A6 with Trick Flows on a 402 with Fast 90/90, Kooks headers and Corsa exhaust. The car had a relatively small cam, I cannot remember the specs for the life of me, but they were in the 22x/22x .590/.590 range if I remember correctly. PM me if you really want to know the specs. The car made 460rwhp and 450rwtq by 5900rpm on our Mustang MD1100SE dyno. We love these heads and are looking forward to putting larger cams with them in the future.

thanks for the replys guys. at first I was thinking about running stage 3 ported l92s with the l76 intake, but also heard the don't like giant cams.

I have nothing on my 408 right now but looks like I will be going with the trick flow.

that's pretty good number for a small cam.
