Default Ordered a S80 today !

I am doing a mainly 98 Drag car , I will post up some pics later . I just wanted to say I ordered my S80 through Jose at Forced inductions and he was very helpful . Apparently I might be the first one with this S80 turbo
I am doing my own kit, exhaust , piping and all welding along with the front mount. I am using 6.0 manifolds.

Thanks

how fast are you looking to get with it? I know it supports around 1300hp...You plan on maxing it out?

hell, just slap that turbo on a stock cube setup, that'll shut him up real quick. How big are you looking to go in the cubes dept.?

+1 Numbers of the harrop setup, and estimates on the S80? How many cubes are you going to run?

If and when I build a larger cube engine it will prbably be around a 402 or bigger

The harrop I have on my 69 Camaro with a 402LS2 in it .
I love the intake , THat set up made 540 rwhp , Without the intake I dont think it would even be a 500 rwhp engine. The parts are nothing for that ind of HP I am getting from it .
Here is a build up pic.

This car was just in the march issue of Hot Rod , the coverhad F Bomb on the it (army green 70's camaro)

that intake looks badass, I wonder how it would perform with twins hooked up to it.

I have always wondered that also and have given it thought on doing it in the future.

Do they make the S80 in a D BB design yet ? The harrop intake looks sick on the Camaro ! Quick question on the A/C unit you have in the picture. Do they make that A/C unit for the LS1 / LT1 cars as a replacement. It looks like it has a nice satin finish. Nice projects, keep up the work

That AC unit is from Street &Performance , they offer many different belt set ups. I am going to use there set up to get my alt up high and out of the way of my manifolds for the turbo on the 98 car instaed of using a cobbled up steel bracket like I have seen on many cars

I think you are getting the new updated wheel for the S80....so yes you will be the first. Borg Warner changed the compressor wheel for us . Also pretty soon all the S-series units will come tagged by Borg Warner for only 2 facilities in the USA, so as to tell what the knock offs are from other companies using Garrett wheels in the S-series turbos which don't make near as much power.
