PCM Diagnostics & Tuning - air pump fuse blowing

So the SES light comes on and i check the codes, they are 0412 and 0418 no 0410 shows up. I look 30amp fuse for the pump is toast. I replace it and the next day it is toast. What can I check for?
Where are the grounds and connections for it to make sure that they are not corroded?
How do I check the air pump to make sure that it isn't shorted out? Does any one know the resistance?

Also when the light comes on, if i put it on the floor the car sputters and pulls power real bad. What does that have to do with the air pump?

I have to wait for the snow to melt since I have to do this in the grass by my apartment so I want to do some reasurch first.

Don't know for sure, but thinking P0412 is most likely a symptom, not the problem - my car will only throw P0412 with the fuse removed. Look up P0418 at gearchatter.com. AIR codes shouldn't affect performance??? Is the pump noisey/locking up? Sorry, not much help...

I had the same problem on my 94 z28. I took the air pump off and looked at it, and when I turned it upside down-water came out. This might be your problem too.

Your AIR pump is toast, toss it.

Has any one found a problem when this happens.
Basicaly it is pulling too much current by either bad connections or bad pump, at least that is all i can think of.
Does any one know how to test a pump?
I don't think I want to remove it, just fix it.

You need to remove it to see if something is wrong with it or else the ses light will come on and the car go's into a preset mode(basicly your car is going to run like shit --been there before)

I will try to look at it this weekend. I was hoping someone had some experience with it or this was a common problem, but I guess every one just removes it.
