Clear coated LS6 intake.
Gave it a permanent shine. Came out good.
HOT rinse w/ purple power twice, wetsanded w/ 800 grit, purple power and HOT rinse twice again, then hot rinsed it w/ a blow dry. I washed it in the sink at work..
Before
Washing in sink at work..
During clear application. About 6 coats. 1/2 12oz can of high heat clear.
After
INSTALL PICS. I found a rats nest between the cyls from when it was in storage for two years. That damn air system did nothing but get in the way during install. That **** is GONE when I get the cutouts to ditch my cats.

hmmm...I think I would have def. painted it first. You went through all that trouble of sanding. Painting would have given the clear cote something to "bite" to.

^ Maybe I should have painted it first, a nice jet black. oh well. I think the 800 grit gave a little bite to it. I ran a couple spots on the first coat. It wasn't that warm out and the blow dry prolly cooled the intake down a little. I cought it w/a rag before it dried.
Yeah just clear coat. I think it looks good. I just have to clean up the rest of the engine bay to go with it.

Holy crap, it is awesome!
Looks like it was just cleaned non stop, I don't like the gloss painted ones even if black but that looks like it was just cleaned all the time.
I probbly will have to do that myself!
Thanks for the pic and idea, I really like it
