96 Tahoe LS1 PICS ADDED PICS
Well here is what my Boss picked up this weekend . I guess my LS1 persuaded him to get it. But it has an LS1 out of a 2000 corvette and still has all accesories working. Sorry couldn't get any pics of the engine bay he had it locked up.
Well you all asked for engine pics so there ya go.

I believe the truck is just 2WD. Im already trying to talk him into a cam swap and a stall LOL.
He took me for a ride down the street and its not fast out the hole but does pull strong up top. I would prob say maybe a low 15 sec truck maybe in the 1/4. which is very surprising to most of the ricers.

Fuel Tank Locations
[QUOTE=350SS]Its in the very back just behind the back bumper/roll pan...you can see it sticking down.[/QUOTE Thanks for the response on the tank location. Just thought it was interesting, that on a 1996 GMC/Chevy short bed pick-up like I have, the fuel tank is along the inside frame rail on the drivers side. On this Tahoe, GM went to the trouble of relocating the tank to the rear? I think it all has to do with the spare tire storage. I can't install true dual exhaust(not easily, anyways), due to the fact that my tank interfears. I'm jealous is all.

On The Tree
The spare tire on the 2 door tahoes is inside the back trunk/storage area. Kind of a pain the *** and it takes up valuable storage space. I don't know why they put the gas tank back there.
