Unscrew the shift **** and take the pleather outer shifter boot off of the console.
Be careful not to break the plastic tabs that hold the pleather boot onto the console like I did.
Under that, there's a black rubber boot that's screwed to the floor that you have to take off to get to the shifter mount plate.
Once you get that off, it's 4 bolts and the shifter comes straight up and out.
