Default who has removed their windshield wipers??

I got the nut off each one but I cant take off the holder/and wiper? Its blocked in by a screw and I just want to pop them off but they wont even get past one thread on it. Anyone have any ideas or anyone done this?? And please dont try and convince me to keep the wipers on thats a diff topic.

thanks

are you upgrading to the LS1 style wiper arms?

Anyways, I think that just after that bolt they should slide off the spline shaft, but I havent taken them off the TA only my other cars

You need a little extractor tool. See these instructions.

Ok autozone looked at me like I was retarded when I asked for the tool they didnt have it. I cant even fit a hack saw to the screws either. They will not come off.

You don't need a special tool but they are a pain in the ***. I usually wiggle them up and down, I move the whole arm up and down, it seems to make it a little easier.

Yeah they always **** me off when I have to take mine off, just spray some wd-40 in there and try to muscle them off.

Just dont pry against the windshield, they are easy to crack.
This is what you need:

If there's an Advance Auto Parts near you, I know they have it. It wouldn't surprise me if Auto Zone has it too and just doesn't know it. Either way, get it and you won't break anything.

I have taken my wipers off 20+ times, and never used a special tool. Just take the nut off, and pry them up with a flat blade screw driver.

Exactly, you just have to wiggle them around with some WD40 in there because they are an interference fit. If your careful with a small prybar you can do it that way, just not against the windshield or hood!

Agree with others above. On my 96 TA and my 01 SS the arms just wiggle off. No tool needed.

My buddy had a hard time with his... They had never been removed before, making them a PIA... "PB blaster, let sit overnight, PB again, sit for an hour or so... Then pry like hell." <-- Exactly what he said to do

Good luck
