i want to do some custom gauges in my 97 Formula... so my car is black ram air lt1 bodied formula with red BBstripes so on the exterior i have a red/black theme goin... my interior is grey cloth only mod is a white balled hurst shifter...now for my gauges i can do 3 things... i want you opinions...

1. keep gauges black put a painted to match red stipes bezel/trim peice on

2. get white faced gague overlays and install them with the red bezel/trim

3 try to get red faced gauges and use a black trim peice for them..

ill show you pics of what im talken about the trim peice and youll just ahve to imagine wish i had photoshop and the skillz

so what do you guys think... keep in mind my car doesnt have that stock trim peice becaseu its a 97 and 97 guagues are weird for some reason... also.. does anyone know if you can remove the orange film on the back of the gauges that makes them light up redish/orange... thanks guys sorry its so long..

I have the white Macewen gauges with the 98-02 bezel overlay on them, plus the bird decal on the gauges... They retain the stock lighting so the film on them is transparent. I got the gauges and bezel from the ws6 store for a pretty fair deal. Do you have any pics of your car? I am just put a ram air hood on my formula and was thinking about blackbird stripes... wouldn't mind seeing how yours looks!
