hey batman, just like they said buddy, they increase compression by decreasing the cc chamber size over the stock heads, and they do flow well with a good port job, you need to update your pic since you got your new rims

Anyway you look at it, the 5.3 heads will make more power with the stock cam or aftermarket cam. Especially if you have them ported and go bigger vlaves. You get .5 extra compression and they flow much better than the 5.7 heads, or at least most of them. I was very happy with mine.

I think I saw somewhere that the 5.3 heads only flow slightly less in stock form...ported would flow better. I think they have smaller valves, though (stock).

Just slapping stock 5.3 heads for pumping CR will hurt the power since flow is less because of smaller intake valves. Exhaust valves are the same on both 5.3 and 5.7 heads.
I know some people who just slapped the 5.3 heads thinking they wil be better with higher CR while flow is worse than with 5.7 heads.

Ok so now i am confused do they flow better then the 5.7 heads or not, if they are both ported and polished? Also what kind of price am i looking at to get 5.3 heads ported and polished? Looking for anyone with proven results.
