LSx into a '80-'87 Chevy truck?
Sorry if there is already a post about someone doing this swap (I haven't searched yet). A friend is thinking of putting a 6.0 into a '80 to '87 Chevy fullsize truck (im not sure on the year model, but its in that range). If anyone has done this, what did you do about mounting the engine in the truck? Are there any 'stock' mounts that will work, or did you have to use custom mounts?
TIA for any info you can give me!

I think a few guys over on Allen Nelson's site have done it. Check with Nelson Performance and go to his forum site and look for a GMCwantLS1(he has an LS1 in his 86 I think). I'm planning on doing the swap myself(into my 86SWB) in few weeks. Good luck.

John Meany, the guy who sells the Big Stuff III Engine Controllers, has an LS1 in a Mid 90's Silverado. There was an article about him and a picture of the truck in last months GM High Performance mag. He might be able to offer tips.
