Default Donut spare tire to fit C5 front brakes

Putting C5 brakes on myt 2K SS, and wonder if the issue of using the spare tire has come up, the factory donut won't fit on the front now because of the larger rotors! Has any one tryed a GTO 17" spare and will it fit in our spare tire well in the stock location?
Thanks, Gary.

Thought about the GTO sare, but the bolt pattern of the GTO is slightly different than the F-Car.

So, as for a spare ? . . . Call road side assistance.

if you're running the same size wheels all the way around, you could put one of your back wheels up front where the flat is, and put your spare on the back wheel.

The C5 corvette guys are using the GTO wheel for a spare, and some are using a pair with diff tires for drag strip skinnies in the front! Is the C5 diff bolt pattern? I thought they were the same as our F-bods. they say you only have to open up the hub center a bit. do a search and you can find strings on the vette sites talking about using them.

Vette and F-Car have the same bolt pattern. GTO's are slightly different.

120.65 x 5 vrs 120 x 5 . . . is it s huge diff, no, but enough to make me wary of running one . . . .

I don't know why the hell GM didn't make the GTO wheels 120.65 in the first place

Your looking at .026 of a inch spread over an 4.75" circle. Humm! i think I am going to get a GTO spare and take the chance and see just how it fits. it's only temp to get you off the side of the road!. Will report back with what I find.
