Default 6.0 Qs

-are all the 6L motors the same?
-what's the perfered years to look for?
-how much N/A hp can i get with bolt on's (cam, rr, minor head porting, headers/3"dual exhaust) on a stock program?
-will a ls6 intake work on the 6L? (i don't need the low end tq since my car is 1000+lbs lighter then the trucks)
-can i use the old stile tranys?
-do i have to use the truck computer or can i use a ls1 cp?

Thanks for the info <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

No all 6.0 motors are not the same befor 2001 they had cast iron heads look for a 2001 motor.you can get between 400 and 500 rwh with heads, cam and bolt ons. It all depends on what combo you use. u should get a custom tune though. You can use a ls1 computer but it has to be custom tuned. The ls6 intake will work on a 6.0l

I think there is a difference in crankshaft length, flexplate/flywheel and all that.

Almost certain you can just drop an LS1 crank right into a 6.0 block. The parts are pretty much interchangeable. I ran LS1 parts in my 5.3 iron block with no issues at all.
