Default TR 224 and base circle question

tr 224/224 .561/.561 114

does any one know if i can run stock length pushrods (7.4") or is the base circle smaller which would lead to runnig longer ones

Also on a head cam car i should run hardend pushrods correct?

Have your heads been milled? If so, how much? That will determine if you can still use stock length hardened pushrods. If your heads are stock 7.400" length are fine. If your heads are milled 0.030" also, stock length are perfect too <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Get a set of hardened stock lenght pushrods then and you'll be fine.

earlier i was told that aftermarket cam's often have a smaller base circle therefore a longer pushrod would be needed to get desired lifts.

Was i misled?

You are correct but the lifter can still accomodate the stock lenght p-rod with the 0.030" smaller base circle. You're fine. Don't worry about it.
