Default Metallic dust in oil after heads/cam swap...normal?

Im guessing this is just normal break in particles? The oil drained clear , then I turned the filter over in the pan and some metallic gold/silver dusted oil came out. Oil pressure is holding stead at 40 psi idle.

Default URGENT: Anyone who has heads/cam

I am getting concerned by the amount of metal particles I can see in my oil. After 80 miles, when I flip the oil filter over in the drain pan, I can see a trail of metal dust in the oil. Is this normal? I guess some of it could be head gasket material or dust left over from the porting...

That should go away after this oil change, well most of it...

I found a bunch of metal dust on my drain plug like 100 miles after my heads/cam install, I really didn't check the filter, but I'm sure it was in there too...

I really wouldn't worry about it....I assume most of the stuff that was in mine was from the new cam, and maybe some stuff from the head gaskets, doubt that though..

My biggest concern is that this crap is just eating up my bearings. If there is so much that it is in the oil rather than stuck on the magnetic drain plug, are the ls1 cam bearings aluminum based? That would explain alot.
