Re: cam time mti or thunder?
I would go with the Thunder 224 cam. I used to have that cam with stock heads and it was awesome. Great drivability, great power, nice lope, and they use a proprietary lobe. Thunder offers a cam package on their cam that will include springs/retainers/pushrods and all the necessary gaskets.

Don't know about the advantages in that case, but you will definitely gain from the cam WITH tuning but you will see the power without tuning. 918's are your best bet for springs. 224 cam is great for stock headed cars <img border="0" alt="[pimp]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_pimp.gif" />

Re: cam time mti or thunder?
When i spoke to chris at MTI he suggested either a t1 or c1. I asked about the c2 and he said it not as good with stock heads. SO whatda think anybody out there running a c2 w/ stock heads?

Re: cam time mti or thunder?
I had Jayson and his bunch at MTI put my C1 cam in a couple of months ago. I am very happy with this combo so far with stock heads. I drive about 30 miles one way to work everyday and haven't had any trouble at all. This cam will definitely get some attention if thats what you are looking for, it is not a sleeper cam, but not crazy either. You can see my mods and results in my sig. My dyno chart is also on my yahoo pic album near the end.

Re: cam time mti or thunder?
I have a C2 cam with stock heads. So far so good. Without tuning I pulled 378 RWHP (on a '02 with all the bolt ons). As soon as I get my A/F sorted out I should be right around 390. Although I do plan on putting some S2 heads on in the near future.
