good price for clay bar plus full detail?
I have a guy that is gonna detail my SS for Rod Run this weekend. He is going to claybar then wax/polish it and do the full detail on the inside as well. He is charging me 130 for the full thing. From what i here he is pretty good. Is this a decent price?

well..I have never paid someone to do my claybar and wax..BUT...I would expect at least $100....yeah that sounds about right...it better be a DAM good job though..
Why not do it yourself..it really is easy as pie...just time consuming...
By the way..it takes me about 2-3 hours to wash, clay, was, and was the car with meguires 3 step...
If that guy takes his time, it should not around that long...so about $40 an hour....not bad

that's a pretty good deal man.
i've been detailing for like...4 years now on the side of going to school and what not, i use only meguiars products and that's a little over half of what i charge.
sucks not having time, but then again last year for autofair i pulled an all nighter in the garage to get my car ready lol...that was a LOOOONG day.

Clay bar does not, and will not get rid of any swirls. All a clay bar does is take grime off the surface of the paint to prep it for either a buffing job (to remove swirls) or prior to wax. Most would say this is necessary ever-time prior to a wax. I agree with that.

$130 is a pretty good price. I have a detailing business and I charge $35 an hour.
Coupes and sedans are about 4 hours.
Trucks, mini-vans, SUV's are normally 6 hours.
Really TRASHED Suburbans, Excursions, etc.... I really don't want 'em !!!!
