Default LQ9 with a LS1 6/speed in my 1970 firebird

I have a a friend who works in a junk yard and he told me he had a
05 6.0 LQ9. I want to put this in my 1970 firebird, Just the way it is.
No ls1 stuff, just a factory LQ9. I noticed the T/B is drive by wire,
Will this be a probem??

Is all I need is the computer and harrness??
Can I change to a cable T/B?? I will use a LS1
6/speed behind it!! Thanks

You may have a few issues to work out, like the hood, but overall, it is still an LS motor. Lots of LS stuff. If you get it, get the accelerator pedal, funny module it is plugged into, and you will be fine. You will still need to do some harness work, and the mounts are in the same place as all LS blocks, so anything that works for getting the LS1 in, will work on the LQ9 (as I understand these things, I have NOT installed an LQ9 in a 70 F-Body).

I was able to fit an 02 LQ9 engine in my 78 trans am. I have a 70-75 formula hood on the car. It's a tight fit.
