question on shift shaft assembly
hey guys im putting my trans back together and i just need to know how the hell the shift shaft assembly goes together. im good with the main shaft with the 1-4 forks, but the 5-6-R shaft is killing me. does it just rest on the collar? it seems that if i leave all gears in neutral and raise up the 5-6-r shaft a little out of the hole, it will sit on the collar like the 1-4 just fine. is this how its supposed to be or does the shaft have to sit in the hole all the way? thanks guys!
