cut outs making exhaust quiet
has this happend to anybody else. i just made cut outs for my car about a week ago, and when they are closed, the exhaust is much quieter than it used to be. i notice it most on deceleration, and also it is not as raspy all around. im thinking the extra chamber is acting like a muffler and silencing it. im running stock manifolds, and the cutouts are about a foot past the manifolds, and my o2 sensors are picking up plenty of exhoust gas if your wondering. i really dont like it at all, but i love the cut outs when the are open, but im thinking of cuting them off and closing the hole back up if its gonna sound like this

Rasp = too much back pressure I believe. And as you said, that chamber might be giving it just enough space to eliminate that. I don't like rasp though, so I'd chalk that up under the "Good thing" category! lol
