Good kill but definatly more mods on the lt1 than you indicate or the Mach 1 driver can't drive. With those mods the Mach should have walked you easily. The lt1's dyno maybe 265 on a good day stock the Mach 275 plus. How ever you did it good kill! N.O.S the great equalizer!!

I don't know what LT1 you're talking about, but my son has a '96 Ram Air Formula, 6M with an SLP lid, longtubes and 3.73 gears, on dr's he runs consistant 12.7's. It takes very little to get an aluminum head LT1 to 300+rwhp, I have one in my '67 Impala SS, LT4 heads and intake, flow matched injectors, Comp cam, headers and of course true duals from the factory and custom tuning. It puts 321 h.p. to the wheels. Lt1's arwe not up with LSx's but they ain't no joke, son.

So what if a car dynoes more or less hp?
Dyno sheets don't matter, its what happens at the track that matters.
LT1's with 280rwhp have runs 12's.

LT1's don't have lids.

Since he's talking about a "ram air" formula firebird. It probably has a TA Hood on it now with a slp air box and filter.

No need to knit pick the guys post. We all know what he's talking about. My 95 z went 12.9 at 101 with 3.73's, dumped exhaust after the cat, K&N FIPK and Nitto's. LT1's can definitly move and gears are a huge equalizer for those with less hp.

LT1 is not a bad motor, but everyone knows that a LS1 is newer and better built, but that dont mean you cant make a Lt1 run though. I love both Lt and Ls, but here is my dyno# with my 97 z28 with a k&n and the exaust cut off lol 276 rwhp and 317 rwtq. I dont thinks thats to bad for a lt, but ls1 dyno a little more power.
