ls2 w/ l92 heads cam question????????
I have a stock bottom end ls2 with some l92 heads that have been milled down to 64cc combustion chambers. I need help matching a cam with this setup! I am wanting to know how big can I go without flycutting the pistons. I am wanting a pretty descent sized cam. I have a small 224 cam and am wanting to ditch that and go bigger. I have also heard that these heads respond well to a lsa like 112 or 114. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
By the way my car is an m6 so no worries about a conveter.

402 w/L92 heads
I have a SLP 402 w/L92 heads (milled .020) with .053 head gaskets. I'm running a 236/249 646/615 112+2 cam. I have enough clearance without flycutting. I didn't beleive it so I took the shortblock/cam/heads to the guy who did the heads and he checked it again. Looks like there's plenty of room on my setup.

but with aftermarket pistons specialy in strokers tend to have larger valve reliefs and small dishes to lower the compression.
I don't have the Valvedrop for a l92 head with me at the moment to figure out the nominal clearance, but the lift at 110* and 106* to determine how large a cam you can use
With a 2.165 valve i'm guessing nothing larger than a low high 22X duration .588 lift. that still might be too close to call.
Tappet lift @ 110 or 106 (depending on ICL) X rocker ratio= Valve lift
Valve lift - Final valve drop (stock - total milling) + .040 safety = Valve relief Depth.

I'm using a similar set up and cam. Do you have any Dyno #'s....
