I washed my car today. Primarily engine bay. Soaked with soap and wheel cleaner. My car sit ALOT. Has been in storage for like 8 months. Anyway, after washing engine bay it had ABS INOP light on. Any ideas? Also have console torn out. replacing shifter. Any ABS connections in center console? I really feel like it has something to do with the 3 hour engine bay clean. I had a sensor go bad on my last car..........I will wait on the replys, thx.

K b4 u try washing your engine bay again, read the sticky regarding proper engine pay cleaning. My ABS inop light went on after my first dyno (wierd, I know) I just brought it up to about 35ish and mashed the brakes. Repeated a couple times, restarted the car and it went off lol. Check and see if ABS is really still working before you panick, then, if it is, you can hunt down your electrical gremlin.

Mine came on this weekend as well, as well as the air bag light. I did the wire mod and moved two wires under the fender well and thinking I didn't ground them very good? After doing a search this ABS light happens a lot.

When i had some paint work done they got my ABS fuse wet. Change the fuse.
