Speakers.. no more bass?
So usually i turn my CD player on vol 10 (1-30) and bass around 4 (1-6) and it sounds pretty decent (only have door panel speakers and speakers next to back seat)
Other day i was digging through my CDs.. I turned the key downward so the engine wouldnt start, but the cd player would turn.
After i switched the CD's a couple of times, it seemed as if the bass didnt hit all the way anymore, so i would have to turn up the volume to around 15 to get the same bass as i did when it wasnt screwing up, however, the words etc would be loud as hell..
So basically, for some reason.. i now have to turn up my CD player louder than usual to get the same bass as i did before

Could be in your head and you're just getting used to it -- is everything stock? Most all the HUs suck, and maybe your speakers are on the way out because of that (or just "normal" wear)....who knows -- is the "quality" still decent?
Could always go for a amp/sub combo or upgrade in general if you desire.
How much bass do you want/need?

Noooooooooo...what im trying to say is...
My same speakers/cd player ive had for ~4 months seems to have lost its power.
Usually ill roll with the volume level on 10 or 11, and the bass level around 4, and the **** would sound good, panels vibrating etc from the bass..
Now i have to turn the volume level up to 15 or 16, and bass all the way up to have the same effect.
It just doesnt sound like it used too

pretty common. Its kind of like modding your car at first it seems pretty fast but then it gets slower.
Double check your eq settings on the deck.
If you want to trouble shoot it further, put a ohm meter on the coils.
Also double check the polarity.
