Do rod bolts have anything to do with the HP level that the motor is producing? I thought that how high RPM wise you take the motor too is what you rate rod bolts too and it's the high RPM that puts the most stress on the rod bolts, especially when the piston is being slowed down at TDC?

i believe higher the HP number, higher the accelaration of the piston assy, which means high RPM's are achieved quicker thus putting more stress on the bolts. so i think it should have some relevance. also the weight of the piston assy plays some role here aswell especially just after TDC exhaust stroke if its being accelarated faster which high HP engines do. again thanks for the info.
