Default replaceing clutch does flyweel need to be resurfaced?

well i had a leak in my rear main seal that put some oil on my clutch and lead to its 6K mile demise if the flywheel only has a few hot spots is it sandable or are there any options to not haveing it resurfaced?

put a straight edge on it, see if it's "level" It should be flat all the way. If it is, you can use a sanding disk, or a scotch disk, or resurfacing does all of this.
