Default installing 01 SS ls1 gas tank in 95 lt1 T/A ???

i am looking to shed a TA
i am wanting to install an ls1 gas tank and fuel pump
i am wanting to see how i can do this and if anyone has done it
any diagrams ??

is the tank different? i think it is probably the same tank, but am not sure of that. as for the pumps i'm sure those are different.

the 2001+ tank is plastic, it is 8+ lb lighter, and being made out of plastic its alot more durable.

yes this is an 01 plastic one and yes it is lighter thats the reason we are changing it the only thing we are not sure aout are the fuel lines and plugs. i am trying to figure out what we have to do to make it work

LS1 is returnless gas. so you wont be using one of the lines. unless you put an LT1 pump in.

Why not just pull the whole sending unit out of the LT1 tank and install it in your new LS1 tank? I'm sure at least that part will drop in no problem.

Actually the return is down by the Fuel filter so it can be hooked up just fine

I am not sure they are really lighter after you add the Gas fill tube and all.

The LS1 tank is definately easier to change pumps on

Actually if you get the wiring that plugs into the car under the dr side rear seat back it should plug right in


Like I said the only real bonus I see is easy Fuel pump changes

Cut a Panel in, and that helps alot.. I got to change mine out soon, and I have the Panel in place already.
