car feels gutless after converter swap
i just finished up installing the stock torque converter back into my 94 lt4 camaro it had a tci 3500 stall wich i swapped out for stock 1800. the reason i did this was beacuase the 3500 was giving me an average 6-7 mpg so anyways the car just feel slow now i cant even get it to break the tires loose my truck feels like it has better off the line acceleration. the previous owner told me that he had the transmission reprogrammed for the 3500 would this be causing it to be so sloow.
i just connected the car to the tuner car on my desktop and i go tthese readings from the car.

Not sure about your trans tune data...but I have an 1800 stall (nearly stock) and I can't keep the tires stuck to the ground in first gear for nothing. It will blow them loose at anything over 1/2 throttle. Heck, I have better hook up on my '68's that run high 12's. I would say you have an issue somewhere in the computer. What software are you running - I'm using tunercats and don't recognize the data format you are showing actually...

Well I haven't messed with the transmission tables very much at all....let me poke through them and see if I find the data that you have listed. I can then give you the stock data - or at least what I believe to be stock - cause that is what I'm running. I've messed with some engine stuff and emmisions deleting stuff with tuner cats - and it has worked great, but beyond some minor line pressure adjustments I haven't touched the transmission tables. I'll take a look at lunch time and see what I come up with for you.

OK....curiosity got the best of me...so I printed out your data and went through my tunercats program looking for tables that match your description. I come up with zippo. I have no idea what tables you have there...they actually don't make any sense either. You have the same title listed for 2 tables (first two, then second two). Same title - different data. Is the first table supposed to be something with 1st gear ? Second table for 2nd gear ??? Why does the MPH column only go to 60 mph ??? The data really doesn't make any sense as to what it is - I don't see anything in tuner cats that looks like this at all.
However - beyond the transmision stuff - I did just look at your mods to the car...you've put together a Higher RPM horsepower combination. I would expect your set up to make better upper RPM horsepower versus low end torque...so I would think your set up would really like a stall convertor. It lets the engine get up to the RPM where it is making good power. Not driving or even riding in your car - it's really hard to say what is going on - but I would say going back to a stock stall after having a high stall on your particular set up combination would probably have a hefty negative effect on performance.

I got this data on the tunercat tuner where it sez tables and went all the way down to where it sez tcc lockup or something to that nature.right now Im driving the car and it feels like slips when I get up there in the rpms I think I will be going back to the stall once I get daily driver.
