Want to trade your LS1 powered F body for a classic muscle car?
I'm considering trading up my Chevelle for an LS1 Camaro or Firebird in excellent shape.
The car is a 71 Chevelle Malibu. It is a big block front disc brake car with an automatic transmission and a 12 bolt posi trac rear. It's an original bucket seat car (still has the bucket seats but not the console) and it's also an original a/c car though the a/c and heater were removed.
The engine is a 402 big block bored .030 and fitted with forged pistons, a forged crank, arp rod/main/head bolts, GM oval port heads with 2.06/1.72 valves, Comp .574/.578 lift cam, Summit 1.7 rockers, Summit chromeoly push rods, Mallory distributor with Taylor wires, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, Holley 130 gph hi flow fuel pump with Moroso lightweight push rod and a Holley 750 street HP carb. The engine has less than 500 miles and is no slouch by any means; it's not yet been dynoed but it is very torquey and has enough power to pin you hard to the seat when you accelerate.
The trans is a TH350 with a Trans Go shift kit and a Hughes 3000 converter. It is shifted with a Hurst Quarterstick. The trans is kept cool by a B&M trans cooler. The 12 bolt has a Moser rear cover and a posi trac carrier with 4.10 gears. There is also a Biondo line lock under the hood. The car was converted to disc brakes and has new pads/rotors/spindles/lines/proportioning valve/master cylinder/ball joints/tie rod ends. The car also has new rear brake cylinders, new shoes and new drums.
The exhaust consist of Summit long tube headers into 2.5 inch mandrel bent pipes thru Dynomax Ultraflow mufflers. It has it's own unique sound and sounds very bad *** at wide open throttle.
Cooling is done via a 4 core heavy duty radiator with an electric fan that is set to come on at 200 and off at 180. Even on a hot day the temps never go above 200.
The rims are Welds and I do have a set of UMI adjustable upper/tubular lower rear control arms for the car. The car does have power steering and power brakes with a Suspensions technique front and rear sway bar.
The interior of the car is vinyl black buckets with new door panels, new carpet and a new headliner. An Autometer tech with Autometer fuel pressure/oil pressure/water temp gauges round out the interior.
The exterior has the SS domed hood and the SS grille. The paint I believe is the ever famous "Cranberry Red" though this isn't the original paint color. The floor boards are solid and are original with no rot in them.
I do have the build sheet to this car as well as a clear title in my name. I also have most of the receipts when it was being built. This is a southern car that's spent it's life in NC. It's turn key ready to drive wherever.
So what might I possibly trade for?
First off it has to be a 2001-2002 model. Looking for an SS or a WS-6. Will consider Z28 or Trans Am.
It has to have an LS1 (and be an original LS1 car....not a hybrid) Sorry LT1's need not apply.
It must be a 6 speed manual. No automatics.
It has to be factory painted black (and still have the original paint). Interior can be black or grey or charcoal.
It has to be in very good condition. Not wrecked. Not ran to death.
It has to run and drive and not be in need of any repairs whatsoever.
I prefer it to be at or less than 50,000 miles.
It has to have power windows and locks, working a/c.
I strongly prefer a hard top but will consider T tops. Not interested in convertibles.
IT MUST have a clear title. No salvage titles. No titles with liens on them.
I am located in Fayetteville NC (50 miles south of Raleigh)

1998 Ss
Hi,
I have a 1998 Camaro SS for sale. The car has 59k on the body, but less than 4k on drivetrain. Fresh "Jasper" crate 5.7 LS1 engine. "T56 Rebuilds" 6-speed trans with all new heavy duty parts (Good for 700 hp) and a "Moser" 12-bolt rear w/3:73, tru-trac posi and 33 spline axles. This car also has all the SS options (SS floor mats, SS dash plate and key fob, SS grille, optional chrome SS 17x9 wheels and SLP "Loudmouth" modular exhaust. I can send more pics if necessary. Too much to list. Car runs GREAT! and looks GREAT! The reason I'm selling car is because I have too many cars and could use the money for my 1965 396 Impala restoration, but I do like Chevelles!

Walt if you want to send pics of your Chevelle that is fine.
Sorry Aaron I know what I want and simply will not settle for anything less. This is something I plan to own for a long time, so naturally I want it to meet the criteria.
