Heads are off, whats next???
Well i am replacing my lifters, springs, and pushrods because of a ticking noise i started hearing about 6 months ago. I have my heads off now and am waiting for the parts. Is there something i should do now, like try to clean the piston tops or anything like that.
Also i forgot to drain the coolant before i pulled the heads, very stupid of me. But now i have coolant in the cylinders, ann some went down into the lifter holes. What should i do to fix this mistake of mine.
Lastly, what is the best way to clean the heads. I wanna get the runners cleaned up some and clean up the valves. I am also concerned about a couple of rockers that have oil burns on them.

Use an Air compressor to blow out the bolt holes before you put them back in.
Drain the oil. change again after 500 miles.
Use a razpr blade (be careful) and brake cleaner to get all the old gasket off.
