Default Headers@tune

How many HP will LT's and tune add to my 01 camaro SS? mods- slp lid, slp center exhaust with high flow cats. Is 2k worth the money for the power I will gain from Lt's and tune?

I'm not nuts, i guess the guy who gave me the price out the door is nuts. Headers are about $900, labor is about $500-$600 and the tune is $480, dont forget, I live in florida, people charge alot

Not yet, but I'm going to, I've heard anly good things about him, I know he builds bad *** camaro's,gto's, vette's and he is the best in Florida. NLP supossed to be the best place to get your car done right, since nobody else around town gives two ***** about the quality work, just the money, but I'm def. gonna get some advice from NLP and get some work done to my car

There are a lot of options when it comes to headers and prices can vary accordingly.

A set of stainless Hooker LT's w/ stainless y-pipe would run in the $17-1800 area with install and tune. Use a set of Hooker ceramic coated long tubes instead of stainless and you are talking in the $15-1600 area parts, labor and tune.

You start looking at Dynatech and American Racing stainless long tubes with cats and you can get into the $2000 area easily with parts, labor and tune. They are both top notch quality as well as Kooks.

I can see a set of coated Pacesetters with parts, install and tune being as low as $1300 or so depending on where you go. I am not a dealer and refuse to sell them I have done several install and tuned several more with them on them.

I am not a big fan of Pacesetters as I have seen several fitment issues with them hitting the floor boards, oxygen senosr on the passenger side hitting an A4 trans pan and the less then desireable "cut and butt connect" oxygen sensor extension setup. This is not to say they may not perform as well or as close to as well as the Hooker package, but the Hooker packages fit much better and the quality is higher with the Hooker components and even better with the Dynatech, American Racing and Kooks. You get what you pay for.

If you want an exact price, just send me an e-mail or PM and I will check everything Monday at the shop for you. Hope this helps.

I spent around $1800 on headers, catback and tune, but I did most of the labor myself and put the cash saved towards higher quality stuff.

In the end I went from 306HP to 349HP.
