I want this shift ****...BUT....
check it out:
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
I want this for use with my line lock....
However, dunno if they make it to fit our threads (2002 SS stock Hurst Stick)
16mm x 1.50 I believe...
Does anyone know if this will work? I know it says universal, but that is a load of crap, I bought a Hurst universal t handle once, it didnt fit of course and the adaptors looked like they were for some imports!
HELP!

I will figure it out..I was just wondering if anyone was using this ****!
How bout getting a new shifter stick with the right threads on it??

It says the threads are 7/16 20, so, just find out what threads your stick is and go from there. I don't remember off the top of my head. If for some reason the stick is larger, you can drill the **** out and re-tap it. It's plastic according to the link, so that would be a breeze.

cool man, I may just have to do that...do they retain the metal sleeve? or tap directly into the plastic?
I wouldnt think the plastic would be that strong that's all...thank you for the input!

Hurst makes another **** just like that with the button but it's white and has the 6-speed pattern on it.

Either way the thread size is M16x1.5mm.
Or, you could get a piece of threaded rod (all thread) with the correct threads for the **** you want and then cut the threaded end off of your shifter and weld the piece of threaded rod on and cut it to the length you want.

The hurst six speed **** I bought was different threads, but the threads in the ball were brass, and my LSS ( shifter stick ) is steel so I just forced the **** on ( cross threaded ) to the stick, and the stick which was made of a stronger metal, cut new threads in the ball, its worked perfect for over a year, and I've taken it on and off so many times, its countless.
My Hurst T-Handle **** came with 10 or so inserts for the **** to adapt to the stick, but teh camaro and firebird's shifter stick is the size of the ****, so none are needed, It also came with 10 or so jam nuts which help align the t.
