Default Need third gen Camaro experts

Trying to get a really good idea on the production numbers of my 83 and maybe how many are left.

Had one guy on thirdgen crunch the numbers that he could get a hold of and say that it could be roughly 1 of 40.

Specs are,

Fully loaded red 83 Z, power everything, t-tops, rear whiper. Car only has 26k original miles!

I doubt many are left, one guy said he had one that he was going to restore that was fully loaded with a whiper but he sold it and I think it was an 84. Said it was years ago and that he wish he would have kept it since he has yet to see another one.

You see lower mile ones on ebay every now and then but none that pretty much look like they just rolled off the line or with the wiper.

Anyone that knows a lot about early third gen Z's that can help me out?

Most likely not. When I had my '88 Trans Am I spent so much time on TGO. There is a wealth of knowlege on that site, and so many helpful people. TGO is probably your best bet aswell.

I doubt you'll find any better info than on thirdgen.org, but moved to proper forum just in case.

Not sure on production numbers but I have a question for you.

Did your 83 z come with the fiberglass hood that has the louvers that open? That was my first camaro and I miss the hell out of that hood. I dont miss the sluggish Crossfire but the car made me happy.

no idea on how many were made or how many are left, but that year and package isn't desirable from a collectible standpoint really.
