Default New Carpet

Does anyone sell replacement (pre-formed) carpet w/ Padding for Fbodies? Previous owner yanked all padding and installed lightweight carpet. I want a fast street car, not a race car...so I'd like to re-install factory gauge/weight carpet.

Year One perhaps? Other alternatives?

I can understand. Maybe you would get alot quieter ride. Personally, I would look for someone who could sell you loose jute or maybe just put sound insulation in there. Ebay it?

Sites like this say they have it:

I think I have even seen it on GMpartsdirect but I haven't heard of any feedback so I didn't want to steer you in their direction until I knew if you were going to get something good enough.

I have gotten on the MPG bug and managed to pull down really good numbers even with mods by removing needless things from my car or replacing with lightweight. You'll see your numbers go down more than you think. I believe my factory carpet was 35 lbs. The rear felt was an additional 2.
