Hi all...
I'm new here. I'm a 38yo male from New Zealand who LOVES the good old chevy. I'm more of an old-school chev person but you gotta love the LS1. We have them here in the Holden Commodore.
I joined this site to gain some knowledge in an area I dont know alot about. I am building my new car, a 2000 Holden Commodore (your GTO Pontiac but a sedan) which is getting rear halved, set-back firewall, lifted floor pan & i'm building a 540ci bbc with twin MP GT-45's & EFI.
I see a large amount of turbo'd LS1's now in magazines so i'm sure the only difference in setup will be size of everything. I'm aiming for around the 1800-2000hp mark & hopefully run a low 7 in street trim.
I have had nitrous cars & supercharged cars but this is the first turbo anything i've had anything to do with. I've sort of jumped in the deep end so to speak.
Anyway, I hope you dont mind me being here & not having an LS1.
