Default won't roll in neutral

Well this may or may not be a problem, just thought i'd post up for you guys to take a look at.

Im finishing up the t56/408 swap in my silverado and was going to start the motor. I don't have the clutch bled yet since i've got no one around to give me a hand right now, so i wanted to be sure it wasn't in gear. I just stuck it in nuetral and tried to push it and it wouldn't move. I checked that no brakes are locked up so im sure its because of the tranny.

What do you guys think about this? Thanks.

I would check the shift linkage, what shifter are you using? I know some of the aftermarket shifts have bump stops and you could still be in a gear partially if they aren't set right. It should roll in neutral no matter what unless something is messed up in the transmission.

im using a stock hurst shifter. I bought the tranny used from a reputable member of performancetrucks.net that switched to a a th400, so i'd like to think there is nothing wrong with the tranny. I guess its definetly a possibility though

Maybe you have something bound up in the drivetrain? Maybe parking brake is set or goofed up? But it should move no matter what in neutral.

It is not in the rest of the drivetrain, i've already checked all that. Its definetly something inside the transmission. Im ordering a rebuild kit today from sixspeedsinc
