yea if your goin to get mids there goin to be illegal so why not go all out and get LT's, shortys will show SOME gain but not worth the money IMO

well 01/2002 stock manifolds are better than my 99's. most people on the board would say LT's, if you have to keep "legal" then just get a Y pipe with high flow cats (random tech aprox $550). i dislike this expression but a mag with ls1 do's & donts said go long or go home. long tubes with a good catback are worth up to 20 rwhp. if you just want to spend money i originally looked at JBA coated shorties aprox $675 but you will probably only gain 5hp or less. good luck!

I say go for LT but if you must the Mac Mids are still an improvement over stock. On a friends car with cam only they picked up about 10whp.

Shorts and mid cost more money then what you get in horsepower gain . It's better to go LT's. I've seen several people here get Pacesetters LT's . The price on them isn't to bad as some others.i think they cost about $460 and y pipe about $150 total $610 some LT's themself cost $700 without a y pipe.

Spend the money elsewhere if those are your only options.
