screw an iPhone.
don't get me wrong, it looks pretty cool. but i'll be damned if i pay $600 (or whatever outrageous price they're charging for it) for something like that, when they're so easily stolen/lost/damaged.
just like all Apple products, they are trying to charge way too much for it.
bring the price down to about $300 - $400, and there might be a chance, but not at $500 - $600 (or more)
plus, cingular can suck a fat one, at least around my area.....i hear nothing but complaints about their service (or lack thereof) around here.

i think it's worth the $500 they're asking; and if you wait a bit, it will probably go down to $400. but cingular sucks and i wouldn't change carrirers for just the phone.

try it in smaller towns/in the country and see how it is
not saying it won't be good, since i personally use Sprint (and i have no problems with it at all)....but i'm just going by hearsay that Cingular around here blows chunks

I have Cingular/AT&T and it works fine everywhere I go.
Not getting an IPhone. I went by my local Cingular/AT&T store yesterday to pay my bill, (I had forgotten about all this IPhone gay BS.) and there was a line of about 35 people out the door. I said, "screw this" and just kept driving. I may go back by there this morning and ask people in line if they're gay or just really board with their life. Or, I'll just pay my bill and leave.

Cingular in my area sucks as well (small town) and I wouldn't pay the $600 or so they're asking for the iphone either. Maybe if Verizon carries it in the future and the price comes down some.

My best friend got one, and he said it kicks ***.
Myself, I don't really care about the phone. There has got to be a downside to it that we don't know yet, just like the Ipod. And if you don't know what I am talking about.... what happens when your Ipod battery totally ***** itself and will no longer charge/power up?

I was watching the news yesterday and some lady paid this kid for his place in line. He was supposed to be the first one in. She paid him $800 because she wanted to be the first in to buy the store out of the iPhones. Joke was on her when they told her she could only buy one. The kid still got one and all the accessories that went with it.

i dont know why people are selling them for such a high price, muchless why people are buying them high prices! A guy i know went to the galleria this morning and bought one, no line. I havent seen it but im sure its sick. I have verizon and wont change back to cingular. Even if verizon carried it i wouldnt buy it. I have a phone, i have a mp3, i have a camera, and i have a computer. No need.

iphones are licensed to cingular for a year, at this point verizon doesnt care and wont carry it even after a year, the new blackberry 8830's and treo's are doing just fine. insurance companies wont insure the iphone so when, not if, it breaks, get scratched, water damage, or the touch screen goes out, you are SOL. plans @ a minimum 60/80/and $100...for like 450, 900, and 1350 minutes? wow.
neat concept, but no thanks.
