Default How to program a blank PCM?

Hello,

I have a blank PCM (not programmed) and would like
to set it up for my car with some mods. I could start
withe the facory program and then modify afterwards.

How can I copy and transfer the stock program to the new PCM? What is needed for this? Thanks,

Gert

You would need either a GM TECH-II that is loaded with the proper PCM flash file to rewrite new PCM's flash, or a Ease SPS flash reprogrammer.
If you do not have those you would have to find someone who does or would have to take car to a dealer with the new PCM in it and have them do it unless you found a dealer who is willing to do OFF BOARD PCM flashing but GM rule is the PCM has to be in the car to assure PCM belongs to that car and the VIN number being put into the PCM is for that car.

You could bring it to a dealership and pay them to flash it... that's what I did w/2 PCMs... just brought it in, said I needed the 2 PCMs in the front seat flashed for an 00 car and they did it, like 50 bux a pop
