Spark Dwell Time LS7 v LS1
I have an LS7 crate engine in a 2003 C5. The for the LS7 is lower than for the LS1. I'm using the LS7 table since I don't want to burn up the LS7 coil packs.
It doesn't seem to outwardly make any difference which table I use.
Any reasons why the LS7 times are lower?

Some guys have done some testing on increasing the spark dwell time with the LS1 packs, and didn't pick up any gains. The same might be true for the LS7 packs as well...some people probably don't think it is worth the risk of burning up the packs just to have some increased dwell. Seems like the guys that increase the dwell time are the ones running forced induction setups...
Definitely don't take the above as the gospel...just what I've found out from messing with it myself and doing some research on the side.
