Unhappy My FAST intake doesn't want to fully seat.

I'm guessing the knock sensor wires are getting in the way. Anyone else ever had this problem? Oh and yes, I did change the valley cover bolts, so that's not it.

You did remove the cross-over water tubes in the event this is an LS1 correct?

You have to swap to the LS6 coolant arrangement with the plugs in the back and just the front crossover tube which allows coolant to get back to the radiator.

The knock wires aren't the problem....

Make sure the plastic dowels coming off the intake locate and kind of lock the manifold in place front to rear. Sometimes they need their diameter reduced depending on the heads you have but that is not very common.

Its probably one of these things or something simple you may have overlooked.

Good luck...

Tony

Bend the LS6 style coolant crossover tube down in the front. It is most likely hitting on the bottom of the intake. You can easily bend it down with you hand. I have had to do this on every FAST install I have done (quite a few...).

It was the plastic connectors for the old style coolant lines. I untaped them from the wires and removed them. Everything's good now; thanks.

Also, check the valley pan bolts, they may be hitting on the bottom of your intake. FAST sells a kit for low profile bolt heads.

Be careful, many a FAST bottom piece has been damaged/cracked because of those bolts.
