lt1 t56 to ls1 help now please

ok i have a lt1 t56 and the t56 in my ls1 is trashed. can i interchange these 2 transmissions. i know the input shaft is different but i heard u can change the front plate, inputshaft and bellhousing... is this true??? is there anyother things that will cause a problem???

All true. I put an ls1 trans in my lt1. Swapped bellhousing, inputshaft, and front adapter plate. That's it.

i am also curious about this. I have the t56 trans from an LT1. can i just swap these out and bolt it behind the ls6?
