Default Auto VE, 1 Bar Map, and FI

If you are putting your car into OLSD tuning for auto VE, and you have FI, what happens at boost with a 1 bar MAP? I am still on the wall about going to SD tuning all together. Can I, should I install a 2 bar MAP, but run it with the MAF? Then maybe have 2 tunes and compare easily?
Thanks.

Boosted I would be running 2 bar no doubt. I would ditch the MAF too.

So then....I can run a 2 Bar and a MAF? I would need to just re-scale for the MAP?
As for ditching the MAF....I keep reading and reading and it seems that running under 10 lbs I am better off with the MAF?

If you run a 2bor OS you will not be using the MAF.

I ditched my MAF and I run NA. Makes the engine bay look better and its one less damn thing to tune.

Ok so the GM OS won't see the 2 bar....I guess that was where I was going with this...What is your opinion on SD?

Yeah GM wont see the 2 bar system, you would need a custom OS from a tuner like HPT or EFI Live.

You can search forever here on the pros/cons of speed density tunes. I like them simply because it eliminates the MAF. Why have 2 sensors that control the same thing? Id rather just have one to deal with. Plus I have a cool looking bellow now too.

I went CO3 this weekend..Sadly I realized I have the wrong MAP sensor. My fault really, I asked the dealer to look it up instead of researching myself, it looks like I have a LS6 1 BAR MAP 16212460 I will order 12580698 Monday. I went for a ride and started logging, hit boost once watched it go lean...pulled over fattened up the boost table, watched it do the same thing and realized something was not right. I am in no hurry...I will just take it easy until I get the right MAP.

I did not look into COS5, I thought it was better for NOS? Is 5 better for FI?

It's the same as COS3 with a couple things added. Now that I think about it, I don't believe you will gain anything by switching.

Ya I think that the TPS vs MAP table would be more for a large cam car.
