Default PRC 5.3 stage 2.5 heads...getting excited :)

I am starting to get pretty excited..I ordered PRC 5.3 stage 2.5 heads from TSP along with an underdrive pulley. Not the first time I've delt with TSP but their customer service is outstanding! Anyways...I currently have slp lid, k&n, smooth bellows, ported tb, hooker lts, hooker ory, GMMG, TSP Torquer V.3, dual springs, 7.4 pushrods. I've seen some good numbers with these heads but I really haven't seen any numbers with the V.3. I am anxious to install them and see what kind of numbers it will produce. Also people running these heads let me know any pros and cons you have come across! Thanks

I'm installing mine heads this weekend, my cam, timing chain, and oil pump are completed. And yes as far as I'm concerned Texas Speed customer serviced is second to none!!! Good luck brother.

To the op, let us know the gains you got from the heads. I'm in the market for some heads and I have the same cam you do...

So are these PRC heads the same as the old TSP heads they replaced? Why did you guys go to PRC instead of keeping your own TSP heads?

DRTY, These are really a good set of heads. Before you install the heads half of the bolts that hold the rockers down need to be shortened because of the porting they stick out into the intake ports.I ground them down on a bench grinder untill they did not stick out into the port. Also i used Permatex #2 (non hardening )sealant on those same bolts, because the intake runners will pull oil through the bolt holes if you do not use a sealant.# 2 is non hardening and is used on old small blocks head bolts.Yo should get a nice gain of around 30-40 hp with these heads,GOOD LUCK.
