It wouldnt be so bad if the owner had kept the body alone. i think its actually pretty bad ***, but sad to say that the motor is not an LT1, just looks like an SBC.

Yeah, it's just the emblems and body crap that completely destroy it.

It would be a bit more interesting if he hadn't ditched the injection on that LT1... but damn... what a joke. He'll get $25k for that thing the same day I finally get Carmen Elektra to let me put it it her butt. lmao

Yep, the idea is awesome, I like those years 300ZXs, think their great looking cars but thats just bad carry out of a V8 swap. Far as it not being a Gen II LT1, the water pump is a dead give away, T-stats on the intake not the WP, so you get a cookie. Be cool to get an NA version thats clean for cheap and swap an LS1 in. I have heard from a few folks those cars in TT form are worse than Lt1 F-cars to work on.

It could be a Gen II LT1. Note the water line coming from the back of the motor going to the intake. It could be the line that's normally run from the back of the heads, but it's to the intake, and then from the intake to the radiator. The heads won't be flowing any coolant in SBC-like passages. It's a weird way to route water, but it could be done...

I agree tho, should have kept the injection, and the "appearance accessories" are overdone.

I HAVE to stop and talk with someone EVERYWHERE and EVERYTIME I take it out of the garage, even people want to talk while on the freeway at 70mph.

I like the drivetrain conversion, seats and cage. For the love of God, get rid of the emblems and body kit.

There's a guy here in Austin with an LT1 equipped Z car. He's actually building a new LSx block motor for it right now. He didn't do anything stupid to the appearance of the car and it should be very badass with the new motor.

He also has an LS1 Trans Am with a Vortech Kit, so we know his loyalties are in the right place.
