Exclamation Petition to abolish front license plate law!

http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/O...ate/index.html

Get your name on there, and cross your fingers!!!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I HATE the front plate on my Camaro . Some cars it doesn't matter, but some cars (such as Camaros, 'Vettes, etc.) just look so "violated" by having a plate on the front ... I hope this goes through!!

lol

doubt it's gonna happen - and one thing a lot of people never even consider - - - a lot of hit and runs are solved by either the plate falling off - or the imprint being left at the scene..

is it ugly? yes!!

nope, *trust me*

it solves many problems, MUCH more than the average people think...

but I agree 100% it sure as heck looks ugly, and I don't think I would put up any fight if they got rid of it..

They'll never rid the front plates, I drove for 6yrs w/o one, pulled over once, I told the cop the bracket broke off and I was having a hard time locating one. He said put it in the windshield on the dash. Nuff said, no ticket.

He said put it in the windshield on the dash.
I'd rather have it on the front than in the dash personally. I dont like anything on my dash it reflects up onto the windshield and distracts me. Plus it looks like crap. I still dont see much good reason at all for the front plate unless your a meter man and dont want to have to walk to the back of the car everytime. As for solving crimes? I dunno that one sounds a bit reaching for justification of plate production cost vs return. That fuel usage point is very valid it doesn't take much to affect aerodynamics. Multiply the little gain by the millions of cars in Ontario and the rewards are measurable. Plus that paint they use on the plates is about as nasty as it gets when it comes to enviromental harming chemicals.

All it takes is support guys nay say all you want if we get the majority of the public to agree to get rid of them they will be gone. Its as simple as that! Thats what democracy is all about.

Votes matter

If ya do put the plate in the front windshield make sure it's tight. During a rear-end collision it might go flying around the interior like a frisby and the edges are preatty sharp.

Good point - that's another problem -

if you place it on your dash it's still not providing any of the visibility it is supposed to be providing - like the above post said - a lot of injuries in accidents are caused by projectiles within' our dirty vehicles.
